Recently, the delivery and on‑site acceptance of 28 Perkins diesel standby generator sets have been completed in Muthanna Province, Iraq. As a key project for the upgrade of local public medical infrastructure, these units are deployed in hospitals and primary‑level medical stations across the province. They ensure the continuous operation of surgical equipment and life‑monitoring systems amid grid failures and improve the region’s capability to cope with power‑supply risks for medical services.
According to public information from the Muthanna Provincial Health Department, the local power grid has long suffered from voltage fluctuations and unexpected blackouts. Power outages would directly disrupt diagnosis and treatment in critical departments such as ICUs and operating rooms. The multi‑rating Perkins generator sets procured in this project are allocated to various local medical institutions. Two 1000 kVA 4016-61TRG13 high‑power units are installed at Al‑Hussein Teaching Hospital and the Maternity and Children’s Hospital. The remaining units are successively put into service at township general medical stations and primary health‑service centres to fill the gap in emergency power supplies for grassroots medical facilities.

Custom‑configured for Iraq’s desert environment, the generator sets adopt multi‑stage air filtration and enhanced cooling systems. They can stably carry continuous loads at an ambient temperature of 48 °C and operate reliably under extreme summer heat.
2.Fast Load Pick‑up to Meet Medical Power‑Supply Requirements
Compliant with ISO G3 transient power‑supply performance standards, the units start rapidly and take on loads upon power failure, avoiding prolonged interruptions to life‑saving medical equipment and supporting long‑duration standby continuous operation.
3.Convenient Maintenance and Spare‑part Support
Genuine original spare parts and on‑site repair services are available via regional authorised service networks. The units are compatible with locally‑available diesel fuel, lowering on‑site operation‑and‑maintenance difficulties.
4.Flexible Multi‑power‑rating Configuration
The project covers a full range of units from small‑power to 1000 kVA grade. High‑power parallel‑connected units are deployed in large hospitals, while medium‑and‑small silent‑type units are used at grassroots stations to match the actual power‑consumption loads of medical institutions of different scales.
